The VesselCheck ST4 Ultrasonic Level Sensor provides continuous non-contact level measurement for liquids and bulk solids. Here the typical application is large storage vessels. They operate by emitting sound waves from a sensor, which are reflected off the target product back towards the sensor. Level is then calculated based off the time taken for the ultrasonic signal to return to the sensor.

Ultrasonic transmitters are based on a proven, reliable technology and require minimal maintenance due to their non-contact operation. They are able to operate in dusty environments, through smoke and vapours and will work with clean or dirty liquids and solids. They excel in otherwise difficult conditions, such as use in water treatment applications for pump control and open channel flow measurement.
