Ultrasonic Level Transmitters provide continuous non-contact level measurement for liquids and bulk solids. They operate by emitting sound waves from a sensor, which are reflected off the target product back towards the sensor. Level is then calculated based off the time taken for the ultrasonic signal to return to the sensor.

Typical applications are LPG, solvents, acids, fuels, and alcohol. Benefits include no tank break-in (easy installation), no downtime during installation, suitable for tanks of most shapes and materials, unaffected by pressure, no moving parts (no maintenance), and low cost and reliable tank gauging.
