Description
JRS Reverse Buckling Rupture Disks from BS&B and HMA INSTRUMENTATION are designed for low-pressure applications, constructed from solid metal. A teeth ring welded to the atmospheric side of the disc is used to cut through the disk upon activation. The central section of the disk is retained by an integrated hinge on the teeth ring, making these disks non-fragmenting by design, as well as being able to withstand full vacuum.
They are suitable for operating pressure to 90% of the marked burst pressure, or 95% of the minimum burst pressure (CEN ISO 4126-2 standard pending). The disks are suitable for operating pressure of 90% of the minimum burst pressure for burst pressures below 40 psi (2.76 bar). Gas service means they are acceptable for liquid service, with a compressible gas/vapour pocket between the liquid and disk.
