Description

The AGAR OW Series oil/water meters measure liquid-in-liquid concentrations, utilizing a Microwave transmitter (2.45 Gigahertz) to measure bulk dielectric properties of the flow stream. Typical applications include crude oil and finished product pipeline monitoring, water in slop oil, glycol and water, and aqueous/organic measurement. Unlike other microwave, density or capacitance based instruments; Agar’s Oil/Watercut Monitors are the only devices in which the accuracy of the measurement is not affected by changes in salinity, density, viscosity, temperature or velocity of the components being analyzed. In addition, the high frequency signal will maintain accuracy in the presence of process coatings that would be detrimental to optical instruments.

AGAR OW-300 Series Oil/Water Meters

The AGAR OW-300 Series Oil/Water Meters from HMA INSTRUMENTATION determine liquid-in-liquid concentrations by measuring the complex permittivity properties of the flow stream, using a multiple high-frequency method. Typical applications include crude oil and finished product pipeline monitoring, water in slop oil, glycol and water, and aqueous/organic measurement. The OW-300 Series is the third-generation design, liquid/liquid analyser developed by AGAR, which introduced the industry’s first 0-100% oil/water meter to the market in 1985.
The AGAR OW-301 system from HMA INSTRUMENTATION consists of an in-line probe, the measurement electronics, and a Data Analysis System (DAS) that can be mounted remotely from the field sensor. The probe is offered in a spool-type configuration. Typical applications include pipeline BS&W measurement for refined products, crude pipelines, desalter crude feed, well testing, LACT units, separation control, and shipping terminals.

AGAR OW-200 Series Liquid/Liquid Analyser

The AGAR OW-200 Liquid/Liquid Analyser from HMA INSTRUMENTATION is a second-generation, microwave-based liquid/liquid analyser developed by AGAR. The OW 200 Series of watercut monitors, consisting of the OW-201 and the OW-202, utilise a microwave transmitter (2.45 GHz) to measure bulk dielectric properties of the flow stream. They measure hydrocarbon/water mixtures over the full range of 0-100%, regardless of the continuous phase.

Unlike other microwave, density or capacitance based instruments, AGAR’s Oil/Watercut Monitors from HMA INSTRUMENTATION are the only devices in which the accuracy of the measurement is not affected by changes in the salinity, density, viscosity, temperature, or velocity of the components being analysed. In addition, the high-frequency signal maintains accuracy in the presence of process coatings that are detrimental to optical instruments.
