KB Electronics standard off-the-shelf DC drives provide variable speed for DC motors from sub-fractional to 5 hp. They are available in 115 and 208/230 VAC-50/60 Hz with 1Ø input, while custom drives are available for OEM applications. A variety of optional accessories are also available to meet the most demanding applications.

The KBIC series of DC drives consist of six models rated for 1/100 to 3 hp motors. All models can be used on a wide range of motor horsepower by inserting a plug-in horsepower resistor required to operate the drive. Speed range is 50:1, with load regulation of 1% of base speed. These chassis drives include MOV transient protection, trimpot adjustments for MIN, MAX, ACCEL, IR, CL, and a 5k ohm potentiometer. This drive also contains Auto Inhibit®, which provides a smooth, safe start during rapid switching of the AC line.
