Inclinometer System

Description

The HMA Geotechnical Model 7000 Digital Inclinometer System measures the lateral deflection of installed HMA Model 7040 and 7060 inclinometer casing.

The complete system consists of:

  • Digital MEMS Probe (0.5 m Wheelbase)
  • Cable Reel with Bluetooth (Cable lengths available (m): 30, 50, 100, 200, 300, others at request)
  • Readout Unit (Android Tablet)
  • Case & Accessories

Operation

The probe is passed through the complete length of installed Inclinometer Casing and stopped every 0.5 m to read deflection in the X and Y axes when ascending up the casing. The lowering and raising of the probe is usually performed by hand, this can be assisted through the use of a HMA Model 7010 Inclinometer Winch. After completing the first set of readings, the probe is rotated by 180˚ to take a second set. These readings are displayed and stored on the readout to later be transferred to a desktop PC for analysis.

  • Slope stability
  • Open cut mines
  • Tailings dams
  • Bridge abutments
  • Tunnel openings
  • Unstable slopes
  • Embankments
  • Piles and caissons
