In conjunction with BP, CODEL specifically designed their Model 125 to monitor smoke fumes in ventilation and air conditioning ducts. Originally launched 15 years ago to ensure saftey of personel in offshore oil rig accomodation areas. The Model 125 monitors were been robust while requiring little maintenance.
Recently BP decided to upgrade their offshore oil rig equipment and CODEL were asked to redesign their monitors using today’s technology. The new Model 125 Explosion-Proof Smoke Monitor / Detector keeps the majority of it’s originally features required by requlations and improves upon them.
