The Ingot Restraint System from HMA Materials Handling comprises four purposely-designed attachments for use in conjunction with an ingot carrying road train that hauls aluminium ingots from the smelter to the nearby wharf. The attachments hydraulically operate two fences installed on each of the two custom-built quad axle trailers in the road train.

The fences are lowered to the sides of the trailers during loading and unloading operations in order to provide access for forklifts and reach stackers which handle the ingots. The fences are lagged with rubber on the ingot side in order to prevent damage to the aluminium payload.
