Labour leader Bill Shorten recently climbed on board the HMA Group’s latest Hi Rail Overhead Wiring EWP.
HMA Materials Handling division successfully completed the design, construction and commissioning of our the Hi Rail Overhead Wiring EWP truck for our valued client, the South Australian Department of Infrastructure and Planning.
The Hi Rail truck is a 26T GVM Hino with a hydrostatic traction system for use on rail. This allows the Hi Rail truck to be driven with extreme precision from the cabin or EWP.
The Hi Rail EWP has a large platform area and a working load limit of 300kg. It has been designed in accordance with AS1418 part 10 and as a result has a category safety rated control system for load limiting and load monitoring. The whole plant is also design registered with Work Place Health and Safety.
We look forward to working on track with SADPTI in the coming months to ensure that their operators are competent in the use of the equipment.
