HMA-POGC proudly introduces Proton Onsite hydrogen generator which uses a unique caustic-free Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysis technology.

Water being the ONLY feedstock is circulated and electrolysed into oxygen, positive ions (protons) and negative ions (electrons). The protons use the ion-exchange sites as “stepping stones” to move through the membrane to the negative electrode. While the electrons flow through the power supply circuit outside of the cell and re-join the protons at the electrode surface, combining to form an ultra-high purity of hydrogen molecule (H2).

Proton OnSite’s patented PEM electrolysis technology produces hydrogen at 13.8 bar or higher, without the need for mechanical compression, eliminating the need for high-pressure liquid hydrogen tanks or compressed gas storage. While oxygen is produced at atmospheric pressure, this is a significant safety benefit over other competitors! By having high-pressure hydrogen and low-pressure oxygen, this means that oxygen can never be introduced into hydrogen.

HOGEN hydrogen generators can produce hydrogen from 0.0003 m3/min up to 30 Nm3/hr.

– The HOGEN GC-Series hydrogen generator is a simpler, less expensive, and less complex PEM geared for gas chromatography (300cc/min – 4200/min).

– For larger laboratories, the HOGEN S-Series 20 and 40 hydrogen generation systems can supply carrier and fuel gas for up to 200 gas chromatographs. (0.265Nm3/hr – 1.05Nm3/hr).

– For industrial scale, the HOGEN H-Series & S-Series can supply hydrogen at 15-30 bar, used commonly in power stations to cool gas turbines (2Nm3/hr – 30Nm3/hr).

Hence PEMs can replace the need to procure, manage, and secure traditional sources of delivered gas to the facility.
