Description

The Model 3100 Vibrating Wire Stressmeter is a rigid inclusion cell suitable for monitoring uniaxial stress changes in hard and soft rock applications. The stainless steel proving ring is wedged inside the borehole using either percussive lever screw or hydraulic setting tools. The cells are capable of measuring up to 70MPa. A sensitive, low range model is available for coal Applications. Available in EX (37mm to 39mm), BX (58mm to 61mm) and NX (74mm to 77mm) boreholes sizes.
