HMA Materials Handling can design and supply a chemical dosing or veneering system to assist in dust-suppression arrangements. Typical systems consist of a bunded storage pallet area capable of holding one-off 1 000 litre IBC of the veneering agent. This is linked to a modular dosing control unit that controls the flow rate of the chemical as well as the water, and ensures the correct mixture is developed.

This system from HMA Materials Handling is based on the use of a chemical that does not require any premixing. The veneering mixture can then be piped to the required point, typically a train load out or truck fill. The dosing system can be linked to an existing PLC control system or designed to be standalone. The system is compact and self-contained and can therefore be positioned so as not to interfere with everyday mine operations.
