The Nixon Series BNO hygienic turbine flow meters from HMA Instrumentation are manufactured entirely from stainless steel, except for the bearing bushes, which are normally PTFE or carbon. There are no seals or O-rings or any internal screw threads. The rotors are machined from solid and the bearing supports (hangers) are stepped in order to reduce the contact area between the hanger and the meter internal bore.
