Description
Set Screw Collars from HMA Flow & Industrial are the oldest type of shaft collar. They are installed by tightening a set screw that extends through the shaft collar. It represents a low-cost option when frequent adjustment is not a consideration.
Set screw collars are most effective when used on a shaft made of a material that is softer than the set screw. Bore tolerances are +0.1 mm, +0.05 mm; width tolerances are +0.08 mm, -0.25 mm; while the material is steel, cold drawn bar, or black finish.
