Description

Type B Tension-Loaded Rupture Disks from BS&B and HMA INSTRUMENTATION feature a special seat design that allows the disk dome to thin out until the pressure can no longer be retained, resulting in the rupture of the disk. Metal pieces fold back against the holder in an irregular pattern to provide a full opening. Fragmentation will occur because the material shears randomly.

These disks are tension-loaded and forward-acting, with a maximum operating pressure of 70% of marked burst pressure. A broad application range means they are suited for gas or liquid service, with one-piece construction (Type B), and sizes from 3 mm to 1 100 mm.
