Rototherm DG1 DigiGauge Digital Pressure Gauge & Transmitter

High accuracy and a four-digit display enables the Rototherm DG1 DigiGauge from HMA Instrumentation to be used as a digital standard test gauge, replacing less accurate analogue test gauges, which also have the disadvantage of being more fragile. HMA Instrumentation is able to supply factory-calibration certificates traceable to National Standards. In addition, UKAS calibration certificates can be supplied if required.

Covering a wide range of test and measurement applications with pressure ranges available from vacuum to 400 bar, the Rototherm DG1 DigiGauge from HMA Instrumentation can be supplied with hygienic fittings for food-and-beverage applications, or with diaphragm seals for use on corrosive, viscous, or crystallising fluids.

All standard Rototherm DigiGauges from HMA Instrumentation are calibrated in a controlled environment. Temperature compensated sensors are fitted as standard to automatically correct zero and span drift. All Rototherm DigiGauge variants from HMA Instrumentation can also be specified with a ‘maximum’ and ‘minimum’ pressure logging option.

Rototherm DSU Diaphragm Seal Units

HMA Instrumentation recommends to fit a Rototherm DSU Diaphragm Seal Unit to a pressure gauge where the medium to be measured is highly viscous, contains suspended solids, or is potentially corrosive to the Bourdon tube. Rototherm DSU Diaphragm Seal Units from HMA Instrumentation are normally connected directly to the gauge. However, a connection may be also be affected by flexible capillary, which makes them ideal for remote pressure indication.

The flexible capillary can be used to facilitate the fitting of a Rototherm DSU Diaphragm Seal Unit from HMA Instrumentation in a surface- or panel-mounting location. The maximum capillary length is 5 m. Pressure is transmitted from the Rototherm DSU Diaphragm Seal Unit to the Bourdon tube by means of a suitable filling medium, the selection of which ensures compatibility with the process and process temperature.

If the Rototherm DSU Diaphragm Seal Unit from HMA Instrumentation is to be used on processes subject to temperature extremes, the temperature at the tipping point should be advised at the time of ordering. Rototherm DSU Diaphragm Seal Units from HMA Instrumentation can be fitted directly or remotely to the following Rototherm gauge types: SPG, RPG, DMC, SPGA, and turret gauges.

Rototherm DMC-Cased Pressure Gauges

HMA Instrumentation recommends Rototherm DMC-Cased Pressure Gauges as the ideal instruments for on- and offshore petrochemical applications. DMC (Dough Moulded Compound) material has a high resistance to atmospheric and chemical corrosion and high temperatures, being able to withstand 160ºC direct heat without distortion. Rototherm DMC-Cased Pressure Gauges from HMA Instrumentation are safety-pattern gauges, featuring a solid front and blow-out back.

Rototherm DMC-Cased Pressure Gauges from HMA Instrumentation are available in either 100 mm or 150 mm nominal sizes. Another option offered is damped movement to reduce the effects of vibration. The backplate features a specially-designed membrane that forms a perfect seal every time, thus compensating for any atmospheric changes that could affect the calibration of the gauge.
DMC-Cased Pressure Gauges from HMA Instrumentation feature a truly integral baffle wall between the gauge internals and dial. An added advantage is that there is no dependence on welding or other joining methods, as used previously in traditional safety-pattern gauge construction. The SafeCase blow-out back feature affords even greater operator protection, over and above the requirements of EN837. Being retained on the gauge by a centre screw, it prevents the risk of injury due to flying debris from the rear of the case in the unlikely event of tube failure.
