Heyl Patterson Thermal Processing was created to provide reliable, custom-engineered, energy-efficient solutions for drying, cooling or calcining needs. Originally established in 1874 as the Edwin Renneburg & Sons Co. of Baltimore, and later the Renneburg Division of Heyl & Patterson, Heyl Patterson Thermal Processing is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CPEG. A team of experienced engineers and craftsmen continue to produce innovative thermal processing equipment handling powders and bulk solids in the chemical, minerals, food, catalyst, metals and biomass industries.

Heyl & Patterson’s Bulk Transfer Division custom designs and manufactures specialized material handling equipment, including many variations of railcar dumpers, train and railcar movers, high-capacity barge unloaders and related specialty machinery. Our solutions are innovative, durable, cost-effective and tailored to your business, featuring robust design and easy-to-erect components, as well as multiple mechanical and electrical drive control options.
